I can't believe it's been a week since my last post ! Life does get busy, doesn't it ! I have several card parts that I've begun but have not finished because of more pressing matters . With a beautiful snowed in Saturday ahead of me , I look forward to finishing them. Now onto today's post. Flourishes will soon be releasing three new sets and you have a chance to win these if you play. So what is the challenge? Create a card inspired by the packaging of your favorite beverage. Coffee, tea, diet coke, you name it.
Those who know me , know I love my tea. I mean I LOVE tea ! This slightly beaten up can below is one of my favorites... Ginger Peach ... And here is my card. I'm not totally thrilled with it but after fussing over it, I am done ! It is what it is ! I have used the Chair set from Flourishes . What would be more relaxing than sitting down with a glass / cup of tea and a good book or having my quiet time ? So now you know my thought process !
The chair was paper pieced with a dp scrap and layered onto the stamped panel. The image was colored with Copics. I used half of the sentiment, "Just sitting here ..." for the front and finished the rest ... " thinking about you ." on the inside . The image panel was sponged with Distress ink. The orange panel was run half way through a Victorian CB folder. I think everything else is pretty self explanatory. Deets below.
Have a relaxing Saturday ... with your fav beverage ! Hugs !
Recipe:
Stamps: Flourishes
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Distress Ink in Antique Linen
Paper: Basic Grey, Neenah cream , black scrap
Accessories: CB folder, square Spellbinders Nestie, olive ribbon, gemstones, sticky dots, Copics

Oh this is so sweet and springy feeling. I like the tea canister, GREAT job on the challenge.
Oh, my gosh! I LOVE Ginger Peach tea! I usually take a tiny bit of sugar in my tea, but not Ginger Peach. It tastes so delicious all on it's own. Your card colors are absolutely perfect and beautifully inspired. I think your card looks fabulous. I don't know what you could do to improve on perfection. Love how you went all the way with the mood of the card, using the chair stamp to suggest a relaxing, tea-drinking atmosphere. Honestly, you've got me thinking about my book and a cup of tea right now!
