This week's challenge at SSCC3 is " Back to School" which is to make a project for a student or teacher. Two of my sons head back to The Ohio State University this next week and my goal was to make cards for them to not only encourage them to work hard, to make good choices and to keep the big picture in mind but to not forget the Lord . College is such an exciting time ... the feel of independence and freedom ... remembering my own college years ... I want them to have fun , to study but most of all to not forget all that we have taught them ... that ultimately they belong to Christ , to pray for His guidance and to seek His wisdom. Not an easy thing to do or remember on a college campus.
The sentiment for this card is from Our Daily Bread. The gray base panel was run through a CB folder for texture. The image was cut out with circle and scalloped circle Nesties. Gray and OSU papers are from my stash . I'm not quite sure who makes them. Ribbon and sticky dots were added. And there you have it ! Thanks a bunch for stopping by today ! { hugs!}

This is such a a great verse for your sons! That's a mother's heart for you!!! I know they appreciate this so much and I know they'll appreciate your prayers too! They never outgrow needing our prayers! Just beautiful!
Amen Crystal! What a wonderful thing to do... I pray they will keep your cards close at hand and keep their minds and hearts on God. If they do that, they cannot fail!
Thanks for playing in our Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge. We hope you'll join us again!
I'm sorry it's taken me this long to come leave comments on all of last week's players in our SSC Challenge! I'm so glad got the time to visit though... your card is AWESOME! And what a wonderful card to send off with your son/s! I know the time will come when my girls will fly the coop and the best thing we can do is to pray for them and hope that what we've taught them stays with them! Many blessings to you and your family. OH, and btw... that's so awesome that you found paper with the university logo on it!! COOLNESS =0)
I too have 3 daughters at U of IL. I also hope that they make great choices. It is so hard with all the outside forces pulling at them. This is a beautiful message for them. Really great job..
Great card! Your sons are very lucky to have a Mom like you! I also love that you put the buckeyes around the card! Great touch of the old college spirit! Best, Curt
