Spring Fling !

Hi All ! I haven't had much time to hit the stamping room . Lots going on here but thought I would post an older card for you. This paper was in a 6 x 6 grab bag a way back so don't have the company name for you . I pulled out the mint green primas from Imaginisce and layered a couple atop each . I added lavender Stickles to the lavender brads for interest and to the butterfly. The butterfly was cut out from a dp scrap. The sentiment is by Verve and was stamped and cut out with an oval Nestie. Deets below. Hopefully I will be able to hit the stamping room this afternoon to have a good post for you tomorrow. Have a good Monday ! Hugs !

Please pray for Blake

Dear blogging friends :
I would like to ask all of you to pray for a fellow rower friend of my son's. Blake was diagnosed with necrotizing fascitis more than a week ago. Blake was a sophomore when my son was a senior varsity rower ... Blake is now a senior and one of the best rowers in the state of Ohio. This past week due to this diagnosis, both of his legs were amputated due to this strep -like bacteria. He was given less than 20% chance to live but miraculously today that has increased to 75%. He only learned of the loss of his legs yesterday. He has a long painful road ahead of him. Would you pray for him and his family .. for healing, strength and much courage as he faces the many surgeries and life changes ahead. Thank you so much. I know his family would be so grateful .

Stamp Simply # 80 Stylish Birthday

Hello All ! It's been a week since I have posted a card. It sure feels good to have something for you today. The Stamp Simply#80 challenge this week is to mix up those patterns using either a stripe or polka dots . Now you do remember the rules when we were younger? No mixing plaids, stripes or dots , etc... well , forget the rules ! I purchased this great paper at Just Scrappin in FL and am so happy it meets the challenge ! There is no stamping on this card. I printed the sentiment on my computer and punched out with a circle punch , layered it and added a ribbon . Card fixins below. What do you think? I LOVE this DP!
Have a great Friday, everyone ! AND thanks so much for visiting today.
Paper: Graphic45, SU vanilla and black

Clean and Crisp Floral

There is something about textured white on white that I love ... that clean, crisp look and then add a pop of color... oh, yes, I like that ! I pulled out the CB and used the Stylized folder for the card base, the script folder for the Labels One nestie, the swiss dots for the large scalloped oval and then the scalloped die cut for the floral panel. The flowers and pot were colored with Copics and I tied everything up with a bright shiny satin ribbon. Pretty simply, huh ? What do you think ? We will be on holiday for the next few days so I will be MIA ... but check back here next week for another post. Hugs to you all !

MoJo Monday #78

What ? Another card today? That's right , friends ! I decided to try the MoJo Monday sketch for this week. I'm a little disappointed in the photo. It doesn't show the balance of color that you can see IRL ... really , there is more orange in the paper so it all balances out nicely . (Am wondering if I need to buy a camera with all those bells and whistles so I can snap better pictures ... gee whiz ! ) Well, tis fun to play the sketch . Hope YOU enjoyed some time in your stamping room today, too . See ya tomorrow !
Stamps: Verve
Paper: K&C , SU
Ink : Tuxedo Black
Accessories: orange buttons ( Hero Arts ), jewelry twine, pop dots

Happy Saint Patricks Day !

A green Tuesday to you , friends ! There isn't a drop of Irish blood in my family that I know of. I recently found this really cute shamrock stamp at a stamp store . I decided to give it an inking and see what I could come up with. This photo doesn't do this card justice but oh well... you do get an idea . It was fun to get out the green glitter and sprinkle away plus my new wavy dot punch from EK Success. Green deets below . Have a good day today and don't get pinched !
Stamp: SU, Inkadinkado

Be Still ...

Happy Friday everyone ! I have a little different card for you this morning. I'm sure we all know people who are enduring difficult trials . I certainly do . The sentiment is a chorus from an old Christian hymm. It says it well... that no matter what difficulty one is experiencing, God is there and will remain faithful.... to wait patiently and not give up. That is such an encouraging thing. Our trials are not forever. And we are not without Help. Hope... that if you are going through a difficult time, you will take heart and put your wholehearted trust in the One who created the world and loves you more than you could ever know. The recipe is below. Have a good Friday, friends ! And thanks so much for stopping by. I am truly blessed by your comments.
Stamp: Wordsworth
Paper: K&C, SU Ruby Red, Very Vanilla
Ink: Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate
Accessories: Labels One/ CB, primas, brads , pop dots, cream satin ribbon, MS punch

Daffodil Easter

'Morning , All ! I have a cheery card for you this morning. Laura @ scrapnextras challenged everyone earlier this week to pull out their stickers and use them . So I rummaged through my stash and found these wonderful daffodils . I pulled out my Distressed Stripes and Swirls CB folders and ran the green through the Distressed and the blue through the Swirls to create garden and sky panels . I added some white ink direct -to -paper on the blue panel. Secured them together on a white card and then added this cute posie rickrack to hide the seam. I then added the stickers . Can you see the little sparkly dragonfly?( click on the picture and it will enlarge ) Lastly I added the sentiment and it's done! I love how it all turned out ! Recipe below... The real daffodils should be springing soon . I so look forward to their burst of color, don't you !
Paper: SU, Archivers
Ink: Ancient Page Grey Flannel, Color Box white

A Teeny Tiny Wish ...

Happy Tuesday everyone ! This will be a quick post as I'm out the door . I just had to give this little guy some attention this morning. Isn't he cute ! I borrowed him ( the stamp, I mean !) from a dear friend and now I can't give you the company name but I'll find out and give him next time I post. It's not the last you will see of him. The dp was given to me in a goody bag so I don't have the name for that either ( gee, I am no help this morning !) . But wait ... the sentiment is Penny Black and the ribbon from Archivers. I colored this cutie with Copics , added Stickles to the cupcake confetti and flame and cut him out with a round Nestie. I added a little piece of bead cording around the sentiment for an added touch of black . The rest is pretty self explanatory. What do you think ? Hope your day is everything productive and fine ! I'm off to care for an elderly parent. See you back here tomorrow.

For I Know ....

Happy Sunday , friends ! I had 15 minutes at the table today and pulled out this old SU Oriental Gardens set and went to work. The cardstock is Baroque Burgundy and the green is from Archivers. The leaves, verse and background" scratches" are all stamped in BB. I cut out the leaves , layered everything up and added the tiny buttons ( Hero Arts). That's it ! It's another simple card but hey, simple works when there's a time crunch ! Tomorrow several of us will be getting together to stamp and gab ... I hope to have some good stuff to post for the week. Until then.... may the Lord bless YOU !

Paisley Eggs

G'Morning , Friends ! I'm happy to have something to post again today ... make it worth your while to come browsing this way. This set is from Archiver's . It was such fun to color. I stamped the eggs on Neenah white and masked the eggs so as to overlap. Stamped with Tuxedo Black then colored with SU Mint Melody, Barely Banana, Mauve Mist and Almost Amethyst and used the black marker to dot the middle of the flowers. The dp is something I've had for a very long time so no company name to give you. The cardstock is Lovely Lilac . Layered everything up and then add a couple of pale yellow dew drops to two of the corners and stamped the sentiment at the bottom right corner. A very easy card . We're due for some warm and Spring-like weather this weekend... and I hope it is the same where you are. I plan to savor that sunshine , oh yes ! Have a blessed weekend , dear stamping friends. And thanks again for stopping by.

Here's my post for you today, dear friends . I think I am into teacups having seen so many adorable tea cup samples on fav blogs. Then looking through my stash I found this little guy( or is it gal ? ) ... It's been awhile since we have "inked" up together !!! I decided to go with a lacy tea room idea . I confess I took a long time on this card , just experimenting with all sorts of things. You know how that goes ... finally, it comes to ... that's enough... it is finished ! Eagle Scout Congrats

Good morning, friends ! I have a card for you today that one rarely may have to make and which can be quite challenging design-wise... I made this card for an Eagle Scout in our local troop . I've had to make quite a few in the last few years and always seems like I never think of a card until an hour or two before the ceremony. Well, here's my simple and easy card. Scouts over the years learn to tie every knot imaginable. So I asked if one of the Eagles in my household would tie this little cord into a few different knots . ( Believe me, it is WONDERFUL to have these guys around for lots of reasons !!) I used the Distressed Stripes CB folder to make the background, stamped the eagle , stippled it a little, layered it up along with the sentiment and positioned everything together. I used a mini pop dot to secure the large knot on the left and then curved the cord to the right to resemble the trail to Eagle. Added a burnished brad on the exclamation mark . A really simple card but it works ! Have a joy-filled day !

Love Is ...

Hello sweet friends ! I have a wedding card for you today . This card was made for a friend's son who will be getting married in Bali this summer. I pulled out The Luxury Stack and used this rich shimmery blue for the background. It has such a luxurious look. Next I pulled out two sizes of the Labels One dies and cut them out together leaving a cutout and a frame. The Scripture was stamped on the cutout piece, distressed lightly around the edges and centered on the background panel. The frame was run through a CB folder and then mounted with pop dots. Tied up the two ribbons and added a stick pin and pearl button and it's done . Simple but I think elegant. I'm delighted with the results. But oh dear, you can see just a tiny bit of red where I sticked my finger ... it will get bleached out so just imagine that gone, will ya ?! Recipe as follows. Thanks so much for stopping by . Have the best kind of day !
Paper: Very Vanilla, Luxury Stack
Stamp: The Stamp Mill
Ink: Ancient Page Grey, Seashell aqua
Accessories: CB Labels One, CB folder, pop dots, cream satin ribbon, sheer blue ribbon, pearl stick pin, pearl button from JoAnn's, stipple brush
