Thinking of You Today

A Happy Morning to you all ! I have one of my fav color combos for you this morning. This was a fun card to make and gave me a couple ideas for future cards. I stamped the light blue background with the flourish stamp multiple times, cut out the top rectangle panel and the scalloped circle panels with Nesties . Used the bottom end of the flourish stamp to dot each of the scallops on the white panel, layered the two scallops atop each other, stamped and embossed the bird and the sentiment. Added the adhesive ribbon and the gems and that's pretty much it. I like the result. What do you think ? Recipe as follows... have a good one , everyone!
Paper: SU bliss blue, black, white
Stamps: Inkadinkado, Archivers clear set, Magenta ( flourish)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, ep
Accessories: adhesive ribbon, light blue gems

Tulip Thank You

'Morning, Friends ! I have another simple card for you today. Made a trip to Archivers the other day and found these beautiful Stella Ruby Basic Grey coordinating papers. The colors are perfect for spring cards ( and alot more ). I pulled out my new Flourishes set , stamped the tulip twice and colored with colored pencils and some Gamsol, cut them out and layered atop the other... added just a touch of Distress ink around the image ... wrapped the coordinating paper piece in gold cord and stamped the sentiment and layered everything up. Added a little bling to the top of the tulip layer and there you have it. I like how it turned out and oh ,wonders , just love that tulip ! The deets below. Dearie's , thanks so much for visiting today . Hope you have been inspired . Have a blessed day !

OCC Challenge Use a Tag

Happy Sunday ! This is a pretty simple self explanatory card for you today. A CB background layered , two ribbons, a stamped tag and a big prima with a gingham brad centered . That's it! I don't know why but this card always makes me think of little girl lace, pink and black patent leather shoes. Nuts , am I ? Blame it on having all sons ! Have a great day, everyone !

The Lord is With You ...

Happy Saturday/ weekend ! We're supposed to have snow again in OH this afternoon . I would love for the weatherperson to be wrong on this one !! But hey, I have a son home from college this weekend. I love that ! Well, here's my card for you today. Had to dip my fingers into that Urban Prairie pack ... aren't those papers fun ! Here's another card I made to encourage today . I wanted to use that sentiment and the new felt stickers that I bought. I wasn't sure the paper and sticker would "click" but the more I looked at it, I thought... hey, thinking outside the box is good ! And you know, God used an example of a sparrow to remind us that he not only looks out for the birds of the air but much more, he will look after us. So it works for me ! Have a sweet weekend wherever you are and thanks so much for checking out my blog.

No Words ...

Hello friends ! I have another simple card for you this morning. I'm having to replenish my stock of sympathy cards so you may be seeing a few more of these. This stamp by Outlines says so much, I think . I kept considering an embellishment to fill it up a little more but nothing seemed appropriate ... it looks better left like this. A quick and easy card again. Bless you for stopping by . I love it when you do !

SSNOTIME #74 Monogram

How fun is that ! This is my " stamp simply" monogram card ... it took all of 10 minutes . I used an old stamp from my stash which I believe is from Stampington. Cut out and then embossed the cutout on my folded vanilla card with a scalloped circle nestie. Sponged the card with Distress Ink and mounted onto a yellow texture panel. I added two little gems at the end of the "C" after coloring with markers . That's it ! A very easy card and it's ready for a " C" sentiment / word such as " Comfort " or " Caring " depending on the occasion . Have a good evening ! And thanks so much for visiting !

I decided to post a card I made awhile back since I don't have anything new for you today. I used the birthday CB folder on this copper paper to make a gift package . FTTC2 You're in My Thoughts ...

This was a quick card for today's Flourishes challenge which was to use buttons. I pulled out my favorite large daisy stamp by Magenta, stamped it in Pearlescent Chocolate onto some pink textured cs , threaded a piece of sheer brown dotted ribbon through a floral button by LaMode , glued the button to the center of the flower , stamped the sentiment in PC also and voila, a quick card for the challenge and then sent off to a dear couple , both ill. Easy Peasy and fun too ! What do you think ?

A Little Color Anyone ?

Happy Tuesday ! Hope you are all having a great week ! One of the companies last week encouraged their designers to do a flower card. There were some beautiful samples to behold. I wanted to play along... just a few days late. Again I apologize for my photo. It looks far more colorful in person... really ! The daisy is an old Magenta stamp that I love. It always makes me smile. I hope to have another card for you in a day or so. Thanks for stopping by !

SSNO #72 Love is in the Air

Well, it's been a busy week . On top of that , I've had a computer with an " attitude" . But hey, here we are again . Here's my post for today. I tend to love elegance when it comes to anything romantic... Valentine's, weddings... This challenge was a perfect excuse to open and use my new I Love Roses set from Flourishes. And I knew they had to be LAVENDER ! I just love lavender roses ... so gorgeous! I broke out my orchid opulence colors... paper, marker ... Ran the white layer through a CB folder . Also ran a piece of white cdstck through a CB folder and then double cut using Labels One Nesties for the frame. Stamped the leaves and rose on watercolor paper with black Staz On and colored in with Copics and SU markers and an aqua painter then cut out. Sponged the frame and sentiment with just a tad of orchid opulence for definition . Layered the leaves in and out of the trellis and secured with sticky dots. Mounted the frame with dimensionals and added some sticky pearls. There you have it. I am really happy with the result. Well , that's all for tonight. Will have another post for you tomorrow.

I Love You More

Good Sunday morning ! This will be a quick post as we are off to church. I made this card for Our Creative Corner Two Hearts challenge. The rules are to make a card with two or more hearts . It was pretty easy and yet I think it's elegant too. There is no stamping involved. I punched out the hearts with Nesties and then tied them together with ribbon. I then secured them with dimensionals . Recipe is below. Have a restful Sunday, dear friends .
Paper: Provo DP , SU Rose Romance and Very Vanilla , vellum sentiment sheet
Embellishments: Heart Nesties and MS doily punch , cream satin / organdy ribbon, pink gems, dimensionals
